FS-B20

For applications calling for a simple single device to Ethernet or LonWorks interface, we recommend the FS-B20 Series that includes one serial port (either RS-232 or RS-485), an Ethernet port and an optional LonWorks® port.

Feature rich protocol translator bridge enables data transfer between serial and Ethernet protocols. An extensive library of drivers provides easy interoperability between a variety of devices used in building automation, HVAC, fire and process control industries.

An example is a fire alarm panel using a proprietary manufacturer’s protocol needing to supply alarm information to a building automation system. In a single, comprehensive package the FS-Bridge provides the hardware and software necessary for this translation.

The FS-X20 series includes serial (RS232/RS485) and Ethernet (10BaseT) connectors to interface to the devices. Configuration files can be downloaded via the serial port or Ethernet port.

All the necessary software and instructions for configuration are supplied with the FS-Bridge. FieldServer Technologies also offers fee based configuration services. FS-Bridges are also available for various fieldbuses or multiple port applications.

FS-B30

For systems calling for the interface of several different devices and protocols we recommend the FS-B35 Series with four serial, two Ethernet and one LonWorks port (with an optional ControlNet port).

    This protocol translator/gateway provides a wealth of features to enable data transfer between different devices and networks utilizing serial, Ethernet or LonWorks protocols. The extensive library of FieldServer drivers provides easy interoperability with devices and networks used in building automation, HVAC, fire and process control industries.

    The FS-X30 Series FieldServers designed to meet the needs of system integrators in designing a complete interoperable system. The FS-B30 Series brings together the powerful FieldServer driver library with state-of-the-art gateway design. This FieldServer includes two serial connections (RS-232 or RS-485), two 10/100BaseT Ethernet ports, and a LonWorks port. The multiport design allows for serial-to-serial interfaces or interface from mulitple serial products to an Ethernet or LonWorks network. The two Ethernet ports enable the integrator to connect a PC to download configuration changes without disturbing the system connections and without the additional cost of an external hub. The second Ethernet port is also used for the optional hot standby for redundant system requirements.

For even larger systems the FS-B40 Series includes eight serial ports, two Ethernet ports and an optional fieldbus port using an adapter card.

    A 10-serial, 2-Ethernet port, protocol translator bridge enables data transfer between serial and Ethernet protocols. An ISA slot allows additional driver cards. An extensive library of drivers provides easy interoperability between a variety of devices used in building automation, HVAC, fire and process control industries.

    FieldServer-Gateway is a protocol translator gateway which enables devices using one protocol to communicate with devices using another protocol. An example is a fire alarm panel using a proprietary manufacturer’s protocol needing to supply alarm information to a building automation system. In a single, comprehensive package the FS-Bridge provides the hardware and software necessary for this translation.

    The FS-B4010-01 includes eight RS232 ports, two RS-485 ports, two Ethernet (10baseT) ports to interface to the devices. In addition there is an ISA card slot for special driver adapter cards such as DH+, Profibus, ControlNet, etc. All the necessary software and instructions for configuration are supplied with the FS-Bridge.
